Epic Dule
Kroot vs dark Eldar trueborn Dracon, sybarite or Incubus and if he is an incubus than Skraat's doomed but i don't think he is one because he doesn't have a Klaive and I'm thinking that he is a Dracon eathar case this should be an intrestin fight.

Winterous (Guest), March 14th, 2012, 11:33 am

Dark Eldar Pyro, I think you're over-thinking things.

First of all, the game is an unrealistic representation of what's actually happening, in order for the scale of the battles to function in a practical way everything is simplified a lot.

Second, why the hell are you insisting he has to be the equivalent of a unit from the codex? And why does he have to have standard equipment?

And you misspelled Kroott in the comic, you spelled it Kroot, it has two Ts, duh :P

Mont'yr la (Guest), March 14th, 2012, 1:30 pm

Bitch gonna get pooooowned.

Golen (Guest), March 14th, 2012, 3:12 pm

@Winterous, lol it's spelled Kroot not Kroott says so in the codex go read it

Nekropancser (Guest), March 14th, 2012, 3:28 pm

Codex: Eatatau
Oooh? Is there a codex for eatatau races now? How come the author didn't advertise here about it... :D

dark eldar pyro (Guest), March 14th, 2012, 4:10 pm

there is a codex for every thing. well almost
Eatatau is based off of a game called Warhammer 40,000 (40k)witch has multiple codexes one for each fraction(Eldar, Dark Eldar, Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Tyrinids, Tau, Necrons, and more)and don't say/type anything about my bad spelling!

dark eldar pyro (Guest), March 14th, 2012, 4:13 pm

and there is a prime example of a dark eldar. extra trechrus and predicts others moves and is prepared for them.

dark eldar pyro (Guest), March 14th, 2012, 10:01 pm

you should add her as a character
or you should make a list of minor characters that are part of the main plot, such as her.

/facepalm. Pyro, you're not getting it. It being the way people are writting in quotes without using quotes.
And I might as well say it now: big gratitude to Darius. The Durchii were a race I had originally written off as Eldar 'chapter' spin-off material only slightly different from the vanilla faction. Your comic's responsable for peaking my interest and finding a cool group I'd actually be inclined to collect and play with. Come to think of it, the same thing aplies to the Ttau themselves.
So, thanks for giving two very obscure races a shot in the arm to make them cool. :)

Mont'ka, March 15th, 2012, 6:04 pm

I'm pretty sure the author intenionally spelled it kroott instead of kroot as games workshop owns the rights to the word kroot and this it would be grounds for possible legal actions as they have tried to do in the past

True_Darius, March 15th, 2012, 10:18 pm

Ok, i usually dont post this kind of info in the comments, but i will do an exception today.

The Kroott are a totally original race created by me based on the famous franchise "Predator". It looks like by chance, my original name just happened to be a little similar to the one of a race of brown skinny warriors of a strategic miniatures game, or something like that, but that`s just a coincidence. ;)
As you may or not know, the predator or "Yautja" race are a violent and very strong race of trophy hunters that have (allegedly) evolved from arboreal creatures.
For the Kroott, i changed them a little by giving them a little more avian-like looking as the "peak". I was wondering if giving them feathers would be cool, but it was too troublesome for drawing, so i gave them osseous and cartilaginous spikes instead. ;)

The background and the fluff is also greatly influenced by the Yautjas culture and the garou (from werewolf the apocalypse, the RPG) culture, and things such as clans, breeds, leader battles, honour, trophies and so drink directly from that fluff, of which im a great fan.

The way of talking of the kroott is a little difficult to explain. As they have no lips, i guessed the sounds would be more throat like, and any letter formed by the lips, such as the W, or the U would sound very different, like K and IE.

The muscles of the kroott are also quite similar to the yautja`s. Being arboreal criatures as they are, they can jump greatly by compressing those muscle fibers a second and releasing all that energy at once.

All that info and much more can be seen in the new comic of the shop, titled "Conqueror"

This is a character of my other webcomic (the first stripes XD) whose design also drinks from the Yautja fluff.

Ghost (Guest), March 17th, 2012, 9:55 pm

Huh...Where's the Alien or Serpent's?

1 That's totally awesome Darius, not gonna lie.

2 Where's there Ranged weapon's? Granted the "Yautjas" or Predator's, had assorted ranged and trap weaponry they used to kill the "Serpent's" or Alien as Ripley called them.

3 Where ARE the "Serpent's" or Alien's from AVP? Or is that just a whole thing that the producer's did to make more money?

4 Is there a possibility that you'll have a Renegade faction of them eventually show up?

Just some typical question's from a fan who love's your comic.

dark eldar pyro (Guest), March 17th, 2012, 10:38 pm

Ghost you lost me...
in your title I have no clue wath your taking about but all the races in here are warhammer 40k races and the dark eldar are a renagade fraction will they are on that planit.

Henry (Guest), March 19th, 2012, 11:37 am

No, none of the races here are warhammer 40k races. The Ttau are not trademarked by gamesworkshop, and the Kroott are not trademarked by gamesworkshop, so precisely what races are you talking about?

dark eldar pyro (Guest), March 19th, 2012, 6:50 pm

GGaaahhh humans!!!
why ant humans ever make sense? the "kroott" are kroot and the"ttau" are tau the only difrence is the name

Guest, March 19th, 2012, 7:44 pm

Are you retarded or just dense? Do you think Aliens, Arachnids, Zergs, Tyranids and such are the same too?

guest (Guest), March 19th, 2012, 10:08 pm

solving misunderstandings
For those who think the races belong to 40k read the 3rd.comic "coppyrights".

the question "why?" its this way? should require only few inteligence

(sorry for spelling (not english))
