And thats it. Strengh and honour. ;)

The part that "darius is not feeling well" is true, i had some fever that left me deaf. Luckily i dont need my ears to draw.

See you soon!

Sorry I was too late, thanks for running the contest though, I too am confused by the lack of participation, especially with the double extension we got.

Proper Focus
All the Cameras in the last panel look at her butt.

About the lack of Participation:
Perhaps you are giving us too much Fan Service, so there is little left to draw?
Perhaps the storyline got a bit to serious? I don't mind serious, but those that draw might find it overshadows the sexy.

Chloe Verner (Guest), January 15th, 2014, 4:55 am

What the heck?
First of all, the quality of your work is decreasing. Both writing and drawing. Did you even looked how you drew the character in todays update?
Second: why the heck did Demarchese won for fanart? He drew like a child and used an overused catchphrase. There was better artwork in the gallery!
And third: maybe there was less participation because your story-arc got boring a long time ago? Generally it's an effort to read it, and thats not the way it should be.

True_Darius, January 15th, 2014, 6:01 am

Thanks for commenting, Chloe.

Indeed, I didnt looked at it, as I did not draw it, I just reused some old stripes cause i had too much fever to draw, and it was that, or no strip at all for this week. :P

Second: He won because nobody else presented anything better on time, and Ritualist had already the Fanfic prize. This year`s entries are just the last 4, and sadly, only two of them made it on time.

Third: Thats totally true. Its long, boring, difficult to understand and it looks senseless, but i cant do it better. I am illustrator and designer, the script part is my weak point, and my scriptman dissapeared more than three years ago.

I will try something new when this arc is over, though.

Yo quise participar pero esta campaña navideña en la tienda ha sido peor que nunca y se me iban todas las ganas de dibujar...te compenso comprandote el ultimo comic de pago, que no se diga

Henry91, January 15th, 2014, 9:29 am

If script is your weak part...
Why not hold a contest or something to become a writer for Eatatau?
Especially if you announce that you want writers familiar with writing for a certain setting on /tg/, which is absolutely crawling with excellent writefa-authors.

Sorry to Hear (no pun intended)
that you were ill. Hope it isn't anything serious and you are up & about soon!!!

True_Darius, January 15th, 2014, 3:43 pm

@Henry91 Thats one of the new things i was thinking in, indeed.

It's a shame about the slowdown from the fans, Darius. I desire wholeheartedly you don't lose hope and keep on the good work. You are one of the only 3 wh40k webcomics that are updating regularly, and Servants of The Imperium had just tipped us its hat and is ready to leave the scene.

Now only Eatatau and Wobbly Models will remain...

Kevin (Guest), January 16th, 2014, 1:17 am

I hope you get well soon. Thank you for making this comic.

Beretta249, January 16th, 2014, 2:25 am

First: get well soon. That's messed up.
I'm trying really, really hard not to make a "in Japan Rape is the best medicine!" joke, but I can feel it gestating in my brain.

Second: yeah I should have submitted something. It's not personal or any lack of affection for Eatatau; I didn't do _anything_ in December (I did however get fired from my job =P).

Third: you do all the factions proud, and that's something to be proud of (I've been re-reading the Night Lords series by ABD, and goddamn the Eldar are stupid-by-necessity in what's an otherwise above-average trilogy).
ADB's a Black Library professional writer, one of their best, and even he can't do the setting the kind of overall justice that you do regularly.
The Nyds, the Elfdar, -the fight's too close to call. Nobody's got Spess Mehrine plot armor, and that's damn good.

Finally: Bring back Selene! (obligatory). =]

So sorry.
Hi Darius.

First time commenting on your site.
I've been following eatatau for a few years now and it's the first webpage i load on wednesday.

The reason i comment now is that i truy hope you don't stop your comic.
Cheer up...You have plenty of fans even if there silent...(Like me)

I was planning to submit my current project to you but it's to big to complete before the deadline.

I'm currently working in 3d programs creating several 3d characters from the 40k universe. Once the characters are complete i can animate them like clay figures and make some vids or comical renders.

Check the samples!

and two sneakpeek movies.

Al inspired by a guy that make tau comics.
I also would realy like you input.

The movie renders aren't very sharp yet but there testrenders.
The eventual renders will take a while to render out.

The Netherlands.

Ohhh! badass Johnson!
Is it Maya? I was trying to learn, but I was too dull to get it. XDDD

Count_Carstein (Guest), January 21st, 2014, 9:12 am

Thans you for your reply.

Maya is waayyy to expensive for me.
I model in Silo 2.0 and texture in 3Dcoat while program morphs and animaties in poserpro 2014.
I know Maya and its probably a beter choice for this stuff......but i'm poor....Well....not rich.

I made a tau too for the contest.
But wasn't happy with the result so gave him a nose and ears....Now he's a dark elf.

True_Darius, January 21st, 2014, 9:38 am

Yeah, i recycle too a lot of pics and sketches. XDDD

Count_Carstein (Guest), January 22nd, 2014, 1:33 am

I noticed.
Anyway..Hope you feel better and are again invigorated to resume eatatau.

Colin Young (Guest), January 29th, 2014, 1:29 pm

Sorry, I would have participated if I'd have known how low participation was.... but since I was one of the winners last time, I thought it better to let others have a shot.... d'oh
