Doomed?
Hmm, who will come to the rescue, I wonder? This situation seems a lil...

...Dire?

...that may need an...

...Avenger?

Wait, are there official forums?
Never seen a link...

Also, that's some fantastic fucking fire. Those torrents of flame are gorgeous. They look intense enough to feel.

how does that sneak up on you?

War is loud.

Even "silence" is still burning things -like vehicles- popping and exploding.

Weapons fire is sometimes literally deafening and when it's not your ears still ache and ring.

Smoke turns line of sight into a joke.

And someone's always yelling. Or dying. Or making some kind of racket that demands your attention. Hard not to watch the dying guy.

You also get tunnel vision and it's useful because it helps you keep your shit together in the presence of "fuck fuck fuck SNIPER fuck fuck change the belt ignore the SNIPER fucking FUCK SNIPER DONE! CLEAR! FIRE OUT!"

Every Eldar you see up there doing something has at least 2 other Eldar yelling in his/her ear to either do something ("advance and suppress!"), do something different ("pan fire LEFT! LEFT!"), or to do what they're doing but do it better ("POUR IT ON!").

That's one of the crucial differences between Guardians and Aspect after all.

Aspects are trained in a _specific_ method of combat; getting one to do what needs to be done is as simple as giving them an area and an objective like "-kill those Mon'keigh in the shops at the Sorrow/Ennui avenue intersection" and each Aspect already knows how (*fzzz* pew pew pew kekekekekekek Warp Spiders lol) they will or won't complete an objective.

Guardians are generalists and as such require specific and constant direction. Which means yelling. Lots and lots of yelling.

When the yelling stops people want to drop their guard and rest because they want to be safe.

Except that the front line might be a lot closer than you think.

And then it's tail-blade in the ass time -without the affectionate preamble.

battlefield as it is...
As usual Dario know's how to draw a great comic.

and Guest above made it clear...
In the heartbeat of the crossing fire and buzzing screaming and yelling and all the shit going on at same time the mind gets all blured and not all man get their shit together, and this and much more are consequences of terrible mind train, not diferent from reality yongs get eager to fight, even thinking how cool it is to be a soldier, but guess what, none know what it is until himself is right in the middle of the shit.. these things wont be tought at military school.. only with lots of experience in battles of death.
