This is getting better and better.
Awesome comic as always.
I like the "camera" angles in this comic it really helps otherwise conversations in comics easy become really stiff.
i wish i could pull it off.
and i finally got a account.
Tut, say I, and double-Tut! I was giving you a compliment. Acknowledging your weakness and working around it is always admirable. I only speak the slightest amount of Spanish, so if I were writing a comic for a Spanish audience, it would probably be even less wordy than this.
The fact that you're doing this at all is admirable, I was merely pointing out the very good way you did it.
I dont care if its all english screwed, I can still understsand it! 13 besides i thinks its kinda cool that some one who doesnt speak english as thier primary language can write all this. ITS AWSOME!
Sorry to interrupt, but I have to speak. Valgaav, it is a really nice thing from you to notice and compliment him this way. Too bad, that you are so high and mighty, that you resemble me. That is not good. I hate myself.
English is a simple language with a certain feel to it, which makes it ideal for storytelling, maybe because of its complex simplicity. This same thing make it ideal to be a common tongue between people from different places. The creator of this small comic, which I find very refreshing and good, is spanish, while some of the commentators are USA or GB english, and I am hungarian for example. Still, we are communicating mostly without obstacles, through a language, we studied for about 3-6 years. (Depends on the intensity and the skill of the tutors, the available sources of the foreign tongue, and the gifts bestowed upon the pupil by mother earth.)
Again, sorry for the interruption.
About the comic
Now to some better things. Eatatau is a fun little comic with decent nearly western drawings in my opinion. Though I still think, that it HAD been influenced by manga. Watch the expressions. They are mostly overdid, which is funny and appropriate for this work, but eastern-like. Isn't it?
I like the story for it's moderate absurdity. Skraat eating multiples of his bodily weight on a daily basis is awesome. Eating officers and teachers is a great joke too. I see, that there is much planning behind the comic, for we seen threads of story which gained not much meaning thus far.
Something personal: I don't know if Kor'la is really this kind of a typical ttau... Must he like Skraat simply because of his ferocious and kroott like behaviour? I always feel a little disappointed, if the main character is an asshole. Or is it just me?
Thank you for sharing your comic with us. I have to admit, I really enjoyed it this far.
I want to see Space Marines mowing down regular humans!
You rarely get a chance to see just how incredibly HUGE space marines are compared to regular humies, or how ridiculously OVERKILL a Bolter is against them (or have them portrayed accurately at all, most people that play DoW think they're machineguns D:).
For that matter, there are also few ones depicting how INCREDIBLY deadly the Lasguns of Guardsmen are when turned against anything that is NOT armored specifically to resist incredible heat. (I realize you're not fond of Imperial Guard, but remember, when you show them toting around (by modern standards)anti-materiel rifles, and the other guys STILL chew them up like confetti they'll look all the more badass in comparison)
